《新视角研究生英语写作与修辞》是由长期从事英语写作教学的中、外专家联手编写的,供我国研究生教学使用的公外英语写作教材。

全书由13章和3个附录组成。本书的独特之处是将写作看成是一个意识过程,并把它和传统的、历时久远的写作修辞揉合起来,辅以精心挑选和裁剪的范文来进行教学。全书从范文点评入手,通过典型范例阅读,到模仿,进而转为独立地、创造性地写作。3个附录则归纳总结了中国学生在写作中常犯的错误和一些需要注意的问题。
